It’s all a scam. Few things are more comedic, sad, and foolish than corporations contorting themselves over their use of the latest terms (of dubious origins) for their consumers.
Pro Tip: Don’t let artificial contrivances – that allow organizations to hide their failings at representation – make their way into your communications. When you do, you’re being complicit in the fraud and devaluing your fellow travelers.
